Join UNC Health as an EP Cardiologist in a busy, expanding Cath Lab, focusing on Interventional, Non-Invasive, Electrophysiology, Structural Heart, and Advanced Heart Failure care.
DescriptionBecome part of a collaborative, highly skilled team of physicians and APPs dedicated to providing exceptional EP care. The role is 100% EP with a Monday‑Friday schedule, 3‑4 days in the lab and 1‑2 days in the outpatient clinic. There are no nights, weekends, or on‑call responsibilities.

- Provides professional medical services to patients.
- Exercises independent professional judgment in patient care and treatment.
- Orders and prescribes medical treatment, diagnostic testing, nursing care, and other health services; prescribes appropriate pharmaceuticals.
- Consults and counsels patients and families; provides health and medical education.
- Refers patients to specialists and other professionals to assure multidisciplinary care.
- Documents care in the patient’s medical record and assigns appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes for billing.
- Supervises other medical professionals.
- Adheres to principles of medical ethics.
- Graduation from an accredited school of medicine and completion of an ACGME‑certified fellowship program.
- Board Certified in Cardiology.
- DEA License; MD.
- ACLS certification.
- Preferred prior experience in Cardiology.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- High‑level quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills for diagnosis and treatment.
- Required licenses: NC medical license, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification, board certification in critical care medicine.
- Physical demands include sitting, using hands, hearing, talking, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
