Located just outside Rocky Mount, NC (around 45 minutes for Raleigh, NC)

At The Barre Dance Academy is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Recreational Teacher to join our team on a part‑time basis. As a Recreational Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and nurture young dancers in a supportive and creative environment.

Job Title:

Recreational Teacher (Part‑Time)

Schedule:

Weeknights in the late afternoon/evening

• Plan and deliver engaging dance classes for recreational students
• Choreograph age‑appropriate dances for our annual recital
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all dancers
• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students
• Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding student development
• Participate in studio events and performances

• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience in dance
• Warm, friendly, and approachable demeanor
• Ability to connect with children and parents
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for dance and teaching
• Possibility to work with our competitive dancers in the future
