Summary
The Medical Assistant/Customer Service Rep assists in providing quality patient care, interacts with patients, family members, physicians, third-party payers, and other team members. Responsibilities include clerical tasks such as registering patients, scheduling appointments, managing communications, and supporting staff during absences.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule clinical visits with patients and staff.
- Review and interpret clinical orders; input into EMR system.
- Interview patients and document information accurately.
- Manage follow-up appointments and communicate effectively with patients regarding their care, results, and appointments.
Other Information
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, or NCC NCMA)
- BLS certification.
Professional Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years in healthcare/medical field as a Certified Medical Technician (CMT).
