Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rocky Mount, NC, for a Safety Specialist. The Safety Specialist will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols, providing safety training to employees, performing accident investigations, and ensuring compliance with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) regulations. The role requires regular inspections, assessments, and collaboration with team members to promote a safe and secure work environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Health & Safety, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health practices
- Experience conducting Safety Training sessions and delivering educational programs
- Strong skills in Accident Investigation, including reporting and analysis to prevent future incidents
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Relevant certifications, such as OSHA 500 certification or equivalent, are a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to workplace safety
