Our affiliate, Unified Women’s Healthcare of the Carolinas, is looking for a Full-Time Clinic-Based Certified Nurse Midwife to join their Women's Health Care Center in Rocky Mount, NC. Join a growing, collaborative group of physicians, certified nurse midwives, and women’s health nurse practitioners who provide a team approach to patient care within a supportive practice culture.
Certified nurse midwife (CNM) is responsible for working closely with both gynecologic and obstetric patients, and providing health care to women post-pregnancy. The CNM will assist with prenatal care, postpartum care, and may also provide reproductive care, treatment, and education to patients.
Position Highlights:
- The practice team consists of 4 OB/GYN physicians, 1 GYN only physician, 2 certified nurse midwives, 1 women’s health nurse practitioner, and a great administrative support team.
- Established and successful practice that has served the Rocky Mount area for over 50 years.
- Patient Census in Clinic: up to 20-25 per day.
- Duties include seeing patients, completing charting, responding to patient phone calls and messages, and providing patient education.
- 5 day per week work schedule with ½ day Fridays, no nights, weekends, or hospital shifts.
- Role is centered on working primarily with obstetrics patients but will also see some benign gynecology patients.
- Strong work/life balance. No call required for this position, clinic only.
- Ability to build up own patient clinic practice within the group.

Requirements:
- AMCB Certified Nurse-Midwife
- Graduate of a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by ACNM Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
- Master's degree in Nursing (MS/MSN)
- Active and unrestricted state registered nurse (RN) license
- CPR and NALS Certification
- Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
- One year of full-time experience as a CNM is preferred
- Labor & Delivery experience preferred
