Position Summary

The HVAC / Ductwork Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising HVAC ductwork installation crews on industrial construction projects. This role plans daily work activities, coordinates manpower and materials, ensures quality installation, and enforces all safety requirements while working hands‑on alongside the crew as needed.

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong HVAC ductwork installation and layout experience
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise field crews
  • Ability to read and interpret HVAC and construction drawings
  • Knowledge of industrial construction safety practices
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
  • Clear communication and leadership skills
Experience/Education/Other
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Extensive HVAC or ductwork installation experience in industrial construction a plus
  • Prior experience in a lead installer or foreman role preferred
  • Basic computer skills a plus
Essential Functions:

  • Assign daily tasks, supervise, and provide hands‑on leadership and guidance to installers and helpers
  • Ensure crew productivity and workmanship
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Plan work activities to support short‑term and long‑term schedules
  • Keep daily reports and records as required
  • Verify materials, equipment, and manpower are ordered, scheduled, staged, etc. as necessary
  • Oversee material layout, verification of dimensions and elevations
  • Oversee installation of ductwork and related hardware, accessories, and related components
  • Ensure proper sealing, alignment and assembly of systems
  • Maintain a culture that values respect, safety, health and cleanliness
  • Regularly lift, carry, and maneuver materials up to 50 lbs
  • Regularly work on ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and overhead
  • Regularly bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces
  • Regularly work in varying weather and industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and other indoor and outdoor conditions
