Position: Part Time French Immersion Teacher 2026-2027
Join École Rocky Elementary as a Part Time Kindergarten French Immersion Teacher starting August 24, 2026. This role involves teaching French language skills to young learners in a supportive environment.

The position is approximately 0.5 FTE, requiring full days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and scheduled Fridays. École Rocky Elementary offers a dual track curriculum for Pre-K to Grade 5, promoting both English and French immersion. You will engage with early learners in a vibrant school community of about 250 students and 15 teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach French immersion programs to kindergarten students

• Develop engaging lesson plans and activities

• Foster a positive and interactive classroom environment

• Assess student progress and offer feedback

• Collaborate with staff and parents to support student learning

Requirements:

• Alberta teaching certification

• Experience in early learning and French immersion

• Recent Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to motivate and inspire young learners
