Job Summary
We are seeking a Front Desk Registered Dental Assistant located in Rogers, AR. The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is responsible for aiding the dentist in dental treatments and patient care. Must be bilingual (Spanish/English). Must have strong computer skills, excellent communication, organizational ability, and be comfortable in a fast‑paced environment. Some experience working in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred. The schedule is Monday–Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Responsibilities- Maintains patient flow to assure prompt service.
- Maintains treatment room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
- Enter patient information accurately into the electronic medical record (EMR):
- Dental procedures.
- Appointments.
- Super‑bills.
- Performs or assists as requested by dentist in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training:
- Dental cleanings and fluoride treatments.
- Administers sedation as needed.
- Administers nitrous oxide.
- Takes and develops dental x‑rays.
- Monitors patients and assists doctor during treatments and exams.
- Explains treatment options and post‑care instructions to patient and family.
- Provides training and support for new and existing staff.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment to ensure the professional appearance of the clinic.
- Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners, HIPAA/HITECH, HRSA, NCQA PCMH, and OSHA.
- Ensures compliance with institutional policies and non‑profit or professional ethics.
- Ensures protection of the clinic’s IRS tax‑exempt status (501(c)(3)).
- Ability to travel for training, conferences, and related activities, including overnight travel.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registered Dental Assistant classes or on‑the‑job training to acquire RDA license.
- Current RDA license and current CPR card.
- Required certifications:
Nitrous Oxide class, Prophy class, X‑Ray class (with exam and passing grade). - Bilingual Spanish/English required.
- 2+ years of adult dentistry experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
