It’s fair to say there’s no average day for a Sales and Use Tax Senior in the Sales and Use Tax Lookback Review COE. You’re likely to spend your time on a diverse array of projects, responsibilities, and tasks. Clients turn to you for up‑to‑the‑minute tax advice they can always rely on. You’ll work in a highly collaborative culture, where listening to and sharing information with colleagues is essential.

• Research clients’ business operations and build long‑lasting relationships with them
• Identify applicable sales and use tax exemptions and exclusions
• Identify potential over payment opportunities or risks and communicate these to clients
• Monitor current tax law changes to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor
• Develop clear, intelligent plans and approaches for sales and use tax recoveries
• Prepare and defend sales and use tax refund claims
• Participate on a motivated team of professionals
• Supervise a motivated team of professionals, guaranteeing they have the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to reach their full potential

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
• Professional knowledge in a broad range of sales and use tax processes, concepts, and tools
• A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization
• Technical writing and research experience in a tax context
• The ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects
• Strong influencing skills and confidence to question existing processes
• Willingness to travel as needed and work in a balanced hybrid environment

• An achieved or partially achieved CPA qualification, certification as a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, CMI designation, or the ability to sit for a state bar
