• Collaborate with medical providers and assistants to manage patient care, organization, and communication.
• Apply X‑ray energy for diagnosis or treatment across all age groups.
• Position patients correctly, ensure safety, and prepare them for examinations.
• Conduct preliminary vital signs and point‑of‑care testing as needed.
• Perform and analyze X‑ray studies, report results to providers.
• Maintain patient records, scan charts, and perform routine equipment checks.
• Support clinic operations to keep the center running smoothly.

The Radiologic Technologist works with medical providers and assistants to examine and treat patients, perform and analyze X‑ray studies, provide administrative support, and maintain a high standard of safety and quality within Mercy‑GoHealth urgent care centers.

• Education: High school diploma required; graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program.
• Work Experience: Experience in a clinical setting preferred.

  Basic Life Support (BLS) at the time of hire; ARRT registration at the time of hire; state licensure as required.

• Provide X‑ray services as directed by clinical providers.
• Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation protection.
• Maintain equipment, perform daily controls, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
• Document procedures and maintain quality assurance logs.

• Inform staff of patient flow and prepare patients for examination.
• Conduct interviews to verify patient information and medical history.
• Perform vital sign checks and elevate critical cases to providers.
• Conduct point‑of‑care testing as needed.

• Maintain accurate medical records and scan charts to patient files.
• Conduct courtesy call‑backs for patient follow‑up.
• Document daily equipment controls, calibration, and maintenance logs.

• Collaborate with providers to determine appropriate imaging views and techniques.
• Explain procedures, ensure patient comfort, and answer questions.
• Select proper imaging parameters to capture high‑quality diagnostic images.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.
• Maintain accurate electronic patient records and log completed procedures.
• Verify image quality and coordinate final images with radiologists.

• Knowledge of X‑ray procedures, anatomy, physiology, and radiology equipment safety.
• Position patients correctly for X‑ray procedures.
• Identify equipment problems and notify supervisors.
• Follow infection control and radiological safety procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
