Travel Surgical Tech​/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist​/CST

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position requiring 2+ years of experience and EPIC familiarity.

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program, LPN program, or comparable job education
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience required
• CST certification preferred
• Ophthalmology or eye experience preferred
• Multilingual skills preferred
• License required if applicable

• Operating Room setting within a CVOR unit at a Level 3 trauma center
• Variable 5x8 shift schedule with call requirements as needed by the facility
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Black scrub color required
• Participate in care of the perioperative patient through maintenance of sterile field and supply/equipment readiness
• Assist the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures and support the registered nurse during the intraoperative period
• Ensure the operating suite is adequately prepared for each procedure
• Monitor PAR levels of surgical instruments and supplies
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Accepts local candidates
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to local contract restrictions, limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or transfer outside the radius
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
