Clinical Cardiovascular Quality Coordinator (Exempt)

Coordinates assigned cardiovascular structural program(s) in its entirety by working closely with interventional cardiologists, non‑invasive cardiologists and cardiac surgeons as well as other members of the health care team. In conjunction with medical and hospital leadership it is responsible for creating policies and patient‑care pathways, follows standards of care and communicates with clinical/nursing staff working with the same cohort of patients.

Responsible for monitoring volume, quality, care‑pathway compliance and reporting at appropriate venues. Supports the appropriate growth of programs and services by coordinating and supporting the development of protocols, clinical workflows, and education and research efforts of the team.

• Coordinate cardiovascular structural program(s) end‑to‑end with interventional cardiologists, non‑invasive cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and other members of the health‑care team.
• Create policies and patient‑care pathways, ensuring adherence to standards of care and effective communication with clinical and nursing staff.
• Monitor volume, quality, care‑pathway compliance, and report findings at appropriate venues.
• Coordinate and support development of protocols, clinical workflows, education and research efforts to support program growth.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

  Certifications:
  
  Current state RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in applicable state.
• Experience: 3 years providing care to patients within the cardiology field.
• Other: Ability to think logically and sequentially, understand redesign concepts, and identify improvement opportunities. Ability to coordinate patient care across the continuum. Ability to develop standards, training, and communicate effectively.
