Responsibilities- Ensure a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, and presenting merchandise properly.
- Follow all store best practices and company safety standards.
- Assist customers with merchandise, answer questions, and handle register transactions.
- Perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, replenishing supplies).
- Maneuver new merchandise and prepare sales floor, meeting presentation guidelines.
- Guard loss prevention, shortfall awareness, and store protection policies.
- Adhere to cash, check, and credit card procedures, maintaining accuracy.
- Display professionalism, maintain dress code, and represent company brand.
- Maintain awareness of safety and security, reporting unsafe conditions.
- Friendly, respectful, and cooperative communication with customers and associates.
- Basic mathematical calculations common in retail.
- Use all store equipment and spend 100% of time standing, walking, and moving around.
- Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
- Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs (stockroom shifts may require 20 lbs).
- Use janitorial equipment and supplies.
