Sales Representative, Industrial Sales
Marian is a global leader in providing precision die-cut component parts for customers in the electronics, automotive, and medical industries. Utilizing state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies at eleven global locations, Marian Sales Engineers partner closely with customers to solve complex manufacturing and assembly problems. We are seeking an outside sales representative for an established territory. Candidates must have at least 2-5 years of successful sales experience in industrial sales direct to OEM's. A willingness to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Some overnight travel may be required. A college degree is preferred. Excellent communication skills are a must, along with strong mechanical aptitude.
Previous experience with adhesive tapes or similar thin flexible materials (films, foams, foils, etc.) is a plus but not required. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, company car/allowance and expense account.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute a sales plan to help achieve personal and company goals and objectives.
- Explain and demonstrate technical aspects of products available.
- Forecast, solicit and secure orders from potential and existing customers.
- Maintain professional relationship with key persons on all accounts.
- Prepare periodic reports Provide excellent customer service.
- Secure opportunities to quote on customer requirements in diverse markets (industrial, automotive, electronics, medical, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Understand customer processes and sell value versus price Utilize solutions-based selling skills.
Requirements
Successful candidates will meet or exceed in the following requirements:
- Technical Sales Aptitude
- Experience in solution selling.
- Previous experience in a problem-solving environment.
- Experience selling in the industrial market arena.
- Extensive customer following.
- Familiarity with 3M, Tesa, Avery, Rogers, and other thin flexible materials.
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
- Outstanding sales preparation and organizational skills.
- Works effectively in a sales team environment.
- Creative problem solving.
- Takes active role in self-development.
- Travel up to 25% in sales territory.
