Public Safety Officer I (non-exempt) role at Mercy
Provide fire, safety, and security protection for Mercy’s coworkers, patients, and visitors. Promote and practice fire and safety prevention. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards.
MinimumRequired Qualifications
- Education:
High School Diploma - Age: 18 years of age or older
- Licensure:
Valid State driver’s license;
Valid local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required (within 30 days of hire) - Experience:
Passing score on Functional Job Screening - Certification/Registration:
Complete Basic 16‑hr Public Safety/Security course within 90 days of hire (may be done as part of licensure) - Other Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to read and write the English language

College degree - Licensure:
Valid local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required - Experience:
Previous Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience
