Department Manager

Job Summary

Department Manager role at a McDonald’s franchise (independent owner). The franchise is a separate employer from McDonald’s USA and is responsible for all employment matters.

• Lead shifts each week, ensuring a fast, accurate, and friendly experience for every customer.
• Manage assigned Department systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to team members and other managers.
• Ensure Crew and Managers deliver excellent customer service, execute sales promotions, and maintain Front Counter McCafé and Drive‑Thru organization.
• Obtain quality, safe, and timely food service while controlling food costs and training kitchen staff on production procedures.
• Hire, train, and schedule qualified crew to meet sales and profit goals; recognize and motivate staff throughout their employment.

Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within restaurant, retail, or hospitality environments. Must be 18 years or older and able to work flexible schedules in a fast‑paced McDonald’s environment. Positive team player with a passion for fast‑service dining is essential.
