Position SummaryNorthwest Machine is seeking a Machine Tool Sales Representative to manage and grow a dedicated territory selling Mazak and Hydromat machine tools and Mitutoyo inspection equipment, including turning centers, vertical and horizontal machining centers, multi‑tasking equipment, CMM’s and vision systems.
This role is ideal for a self‑motivated professional who understands manufacturing, enjoys working directly with customers, and wants to represent the most respected brands in the CNC industry.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow sales territory.
- Develop new business while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships.
- Identify customer manufacturing challenges and recommend appropriate machine solutions.
- Work closely with Northwest Machine’s engineering and service teams to deliver complete solutions.
- Conduct on‑site customer visits, machine demonstrations, and proposal presentations.
- Manage the sales process from lead generation through order close.
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, forecasts, and opportunity tracking.
- Attend trade shows, open houses, and customer events as needed.
- Experience in machine tool sales, CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, or related industrial sales.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes (milling, turning, multi‑axis, or automation).
- Ability to build trust and long‑term customer relationships.
- Self‑driven, organized, and comfortable working independently in a territory.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
