Job Description Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and professional Poker Dealer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dealing poker games efficiently and accurately while maintaining a friendly and engaging atmosphere. The Poker Dealer must ensure fair play, enforce house rules, and provide excellent customer service to all players.
Essential Functions – Poker Dealer / Brush- Greeting, seating, and directing players.
- Manage player waitlists and table assignments.
- Assisting with general room cleaning (e.g., wiping tables, organizing chairs).
- Training or mentoring new dealers (unless assigned formally).
- Participating in promotional events or tournaments not part of regular shifts.
- Engaging in customer service beyond gaming duties (e.g., escorting players, answering general casino inquiries).
- Filing incident reports or assisting with non‑routine paperwork.
- Handling emergency evacuation procedures beyond normal expectations.
- Moving or rearranging furniture or heavy fixtures (except chips or shuffle machine).
- Acting as a floor supervisor or manager (unless cross‑trained and scheduled for that role).
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
- One (1) or more years of poker dealing experience in a casino or card room environment. Formal dealing school training may be accepted in lieu of experience.
- Minimum age 21.
- Ability to perform basic mental math quickly and accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Experience performing brush or floor duties.
- Knowledge of multiple poker variants (e.g., Texas Hold’em, Omaha).
- Multilingual communication skills.
- Prior customer service experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced setting.
- Familiarity with casino management systems or player tracking tools.
- Stand during moderate to long intervals – frequent (30–50% of shift).
- Walk during intermittent – not frequent (20–30% of shift).
- Sit continuously while dealing – moderate (up to 88% of shift).
- Bend continuously while dealing – occasional (5–10% of shift).
- Twist continuously while dealing – frequent (20–30% of shift).
- Kneel/squat very briefly – rare (1% of shift).
- Lifting/Carrying light (0–10 lbs.) – frequent; medium (10–30 lbs.) – occasional; heavy ( >30 lbs.) – not frequent.
- Reaching/accessing shelves and cabinets occasional (5–10%); arm use continuous at table level – frequent (60–70%).
- Indoor, fast‑paced casino environment with moderate to loud noise.
- Exposure to secondhand smoke (if applicable).
- Work is performed under constant video surveillance.
- Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.
