The Family Practice with Obstetrics (FPOB) Physician provides comprehensive primary care across all ages, with a focus on prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum services.
- Deliver full-spectrum family medicine, including wellness exams, chronic disease management, urgent care, and minor procedures.
- Perform obstetric care such as prenatal visits, labor management, deliveries, and postpartum follow-up.
- Care for newborns and pediatric patients as part of family-centered services.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement and patient-centered initiatives.
- Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and participate in community outreach, call rotations, and after-hours coverage, including hospital labor/delivery shifts.
Qualifications include an MD or DO degree, completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency, additional obstetric training, a valid medical license, and board certification or eligibility. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and ALSO are preferred.
