Job Description

  • Experience in developing and leading interdisciplinary research programs that integrate AI, IoT, and data-driven decision systems for smart and sustainable crop production
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and manage competitive federal grants (e.g., NSF, USDA, NIFA) involving applied AI, digital agriculture, and technology commercialization
  • Strong record of peer-reviewed publications in applied machine learning and digital agriculture, showing capacity for both methodological and translational impact
  • Proven capability to connect computer science, agronomy, and business thinking to translate research prototypes into field-ready solutions and pilot deployments
  • Experience supervising and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students while coordinating multi-institutional, multi-stakeholder collaborations
  • Familiarity with data privacy, intellectual property management, and research compliance for joint academic-industry projects, including invention disclosures and tech-transfer pathways
  • Strategic leadership skills to align scientific objectives with industrial partnerships, project milestones, and global agricultural sustainability goals
  • Ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical audiences, including growers, cooperatives, corporate partners, and investors, to foster adoption and collaboration
