Job Description
Research focus is including but not limited to:
* Extraction and recovery of critical mineral resources (including mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, solvent extraction, ion exchange, membrane separation, and functional material synthesis)
* Industrial and mine water treatment technologies (pollutant removal, purification, and water reuse)
* Management and resource utilization of mine solid wastes (stabilization, recycling, and value-added reuse of tailings and waste residues)
Responsibilities:
* Conduct independent research within existing funded projects
* Contribute to proposal writing and new project development
* Publish high-quality papers in peer-reviewed journals
* Assist in supervising graduate students and managing daily lab operations
Qualifications
* Ph.D. (or near completion) in Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline
* At least one first-author publication in a reputable international journal in a relevant field
* Strong English writing and communication skills
* Demonstrated ability for independent research and teamwork

COLLEGE of ENGINEERING & COMPUTING (CEC)
Missouri S&T's College of Engineering and Computing is the largest of three colleges at S&T, accounting for approximately 80% of the total enrollment (about 4,500 undergraduates and 800 graduate students). The college includes more than 170 ranked faculty members who serve in 16 undergraduate programs, all with master's and doctoral equivalents organized into nine academic departments.
