• The Associate Vice President (AVP), Medical Group Operations provides strategic and operational oversight for all clinic‑based services within the Phelps Health Medical Group. This position leads functionally focused Executive Directors and direction of the DDCI. The AVP serves as the administrative dyad partner to each Division Chief, ensuring alignment between clinical and operational functions. The AVP is responsible for delivering high‑performing, standardized, and scalable operations across the medical group.

• Partner in dyad with each Division Chief to align strategy and performance.
• Directly supervise Executive Directors of Access & Experience and Clinical Operations.
• Standardize front and back office functions across all divisions.
• Supervise DDCI and related service line activities.
• Lead implementation of medical group initiatives related to access, experience, quality, and operational throughput.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, Compliance, and Finance for cross‑functional improvements.
• Ensure performance targets are achieved in quality, access, patient satisfaction, and financial stewardship.
• Develop annual budgets and manage capital requests.
• Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and performance excellence.

• Bachelor's degree required;
  Master's degree preferred (MHA, MBA, or equivalent).

• Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, preferably in ambulatory or medical group settings.
• Strong interpersonal and strategic planning skills.

• Considerable mental concentration. Ability to receive and express detailed information through oral and written communications. Extended mental concentration on variable projects. Work is generally sedentary with need to travel to other areas of the hospital. Some lifting and carrying may be required for objects under 25 pounds.

• Ability to work in a fast paced office, meeting multiple deadlines, and the ability to set priorities. Interaction with various individuals of the department and hospital. Environment of changing regulatory requirements for agency operations.
