Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing manufacturing processes by managing staff on the production floor and coordinating resources to maximize utilization consistent with safety, quality, and cost standards. The candidate should have experience coaching and motivating employees in a production environment.

Key responsibilities include attending production meetings, creating and executing action plans, troubleshooting equipment issues, developing employee relationships, influencing change, and growing technically and as a leader.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 35+ hourly associates, develop and coach team members, motivate to achieve performance goals.
  • Manage and improve production processes, identify opportunities, meet daily goals, and implement improvements.
  • Promote a safe work culture, ensure compliance with safety policies.
  • Recommend and implement process or procedure changes.
  • Monitor employee performance, assist in performance reviews.
  • Complete reports and analyze operating conditions.
  • Ensure workers are trained adequately.
  • Support employee development.
Skills and Core Competencies
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience in packaging or pulp and paper industry preferred.
  • Automation experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership and change management skills.
  • Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, SARA, HAZWOPER).
  • Ability to produce clear written and verbal reports.
