Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Follows established hospital policy regarding patient safety measures such as infection prevention, safe patient handling and movement искусства, critical lab notification, etc., to provide patient care in an optimally safe environment.
- Provides quality nursing care including administration of medications, nursing intervention, and patient and family teaching. Performs such actions within the guidelines established in hospital policy and procedure as well as the Practical Nurse Scope of Practice, to support quality outcomes and patient safety.
- Performs ongoing assessments in all aspects of patient care to monitor patient status, improve quality, enhance patient safety, and provide accurate information to the health‑care team members. Works collaboratively with the supervising RN or Shift Manager to ensure all patient needs are met.
- Documents all patient care activities and required quality monitoring items to comply with established quality measures and support clinical decision making.
- Communicates bukan patient information to physicians and appropriate team members to improve patient outcomes. Delegates as appropriate while maintaining an atmosphere fostering teamwork and accountability. Visitors
- Communicates with patient and family members in a timely manner to enhance the patient experience and provide education to support health‑care outcomes.
- Demonstrates critical thinking in nursing practice and attempts to develop skills and abilities through continuing education.
- Graduate from an accredited practical school of nursing required.
- One year experience preferred.
- Current LPN license in the state of Missouri or Compact Licensure.
- Graduate practical nurses must obtain license within 90 days of graduation.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Physical Requirements
- Considerable mental concentration required. Must lift up to 35 lbs., turn activities, stand, carry, push, pull, stoop, crouch, twist, reach, and walk nearly constantly.
- Frequent exposure to infectious disease and communicable disease via blood and other bodily fluids. May encounter hostile persons at times.
