The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets all customers in a courteous, friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows all company best practice standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Retail Associate is expected to be engaged in assigned tasks during all working hours and may be requested to perform additional tasks when required to achieve customer service and operational goals.

• Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment.
• Treat all customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; be friendly and professional at all times.
• Assist customers in any way necessary – be register‑trained, help with merchandise, answer questions politely and knowledgeably.
• Provide prompt and efficient responses to customers and handle all customer issues politely, calling a member of Store Leadership when needed.
• Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high‑touch areas.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the Company’s dress code.
• Perform daily assigned sizing and recovery per company best practice to ensure a neat, clean, organized store.
• Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor with a sense of urgency, merchandising all items per monthly presentation guidelines.
• Understand the Loss Prevention Awareness program, Shortage Highway, and merchandise protection standards.
• Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all interactions; safeguard confidential and financial information.
• Follow Mark‑Out‑of‑Stock (MOS) policies, properly processing each piece of MOS merchandise.
• Follow all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card, and refund transactions, maintaining a high level of accuracy with bankable tenders.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency to efficiently perform responsibilities and maximize productivity.

• Effectively communicate with customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative manner.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

• Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required.
• Spend up to 100 % of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
• Regularly bend at waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 lbs.
