About Us

Georgia Highlands College is a multi‑campus, state college member of the University System of Georgia. Founded in 1970 as Floyd Junior College, it now serves more than 6,000 students in Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama across its five locations in Rome, Cartersville, Marietta, and Dallas. GHC currently offers over 30 areas of study with associate degree and bachelor’s degree options both in the classroom and online.

Part‑time instructor for a multi‑site college in the University System of Georgia. Reporting to the Division Chair for the School of Business and Professional Studies, the part‑time instructor is responsible for preparing for and delivering instruction in Economics.

• Manage courses through systematic use of syllabi
• Keep accurate records of students’ class performance, attendance, and grades
• Adopt and implement common course objectives
• Attend part‑time faculty orientation prior to the beginning of the semester
• Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in the subject or a Master’s with 18 hours of graduate‑level courses in Economics
• Available to teach day, evening, or weekend at any of the Georgia Highlands College instructional sites

Salary determined by instructor part‑time pay scale.
