Catoosa County Health Department, Ringgold, GA
Gordon County Health Department, Calhoun, GA (2 positions)
Walker County Health Department, Lafayette, GA (2 positions)
Pay Grade H - Health Educator 1 - $40,607.76
Pay Grade I - Health Educator 2 - $43,940.64
Pay Grade J - Health Educator 3 - $47,606.64
Job Responsibilities
Under supervision, promotes, maintains, and improves individual and community health by assisting individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors. Collect and analyze data to identify community needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, policies and environments.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education, social, behavioral, or biological sciences or a directly related field from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in dietetics, human nutrition, food & nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university from an Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics accredited program.
** Must have at minimum 18 hours in Nutrition Education from an accredited college.*

Current CBH employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.
CBH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. CBH may contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
