Catoosa County Health Department, Ringgold, GA
Gordon County Health Department, Calhoun, GA (2 positions)
Walker County Health Department, Lafayette, GA (2 positions)
Pay Grades and Salaries:
- H - Health Educator 1 - $40,607.76
- I - Health Educator 2 - $43,940.64
- J - Health Educator 3 - $47,606.64
Under supervision, promotes, maintains, and improves individual and community health by assisting individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors. Collect and analyze data to identify community needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, policies, and environments.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in education, social, behavioral, or biological sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in dietetics, human nutrition, food & nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management, or a related field from an accredited program. Must have at least 18 hours in Nutrition Education from an accredited college.
Must be within a reasonable commuting distance or willing to relocate.
Employment Information: Current CBH employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary. Educational credentials recognized by CHEA or the US Department of Education will be considered. Official transcripts and proof of licenses/certifications are required prior to employment. The candidate may be subject to pre-employment screening, including drug testing, E-Verify, reference checks, and a criminal background check.
