• Delivers routine respiratory treatments and continuous respiratory therapy including aerosol therapy, lung expansion therapy, oxygen therapy, and bronchial hygiene.
• Monitors, instructs, and coaches patients before, during, and after treatment delivery.
• Prevents and/or resolves untoward side effects and adjusts therapies according to protocol and documented clinical criteria.
• Reevaluates patient/ventilator interface a minimum of every four hours, responds to alarms, and troubleshoots as needed.
• Establishes weaning readiness and facilitates the weaning process, adjusting ventilator settings in accordance with patient progress. guiding the determination of ventilator mode and settings.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

High School Grad or Equ (Required)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Neonatal Med Certification (NEONATAL MED) - Accredited Issuing Body, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, State Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
