Job Overview
Join the dynamic and collaborative Cardiac Step-Down Unit, a 34-bed progressive care environment specializing in the care of patients undergoing cardiac procedures. Our team provides high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, supportive setting.
This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible.
Primary Patient Population- Cardiac procedural patients (e.g., cardiac catheterization, echocardiograms)
- Pre-operative and post-operative cardiac surgical patients
- Progressive care/step-down level monitoring and interventions
- Cardiology and pulmonology patients
- General medical/surgical patients requiring intermediate care
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to cardiac and higher acuity patients in the critical care area
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and ongoing care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based projects
- Current RN license in the state of GA
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
