PositionFull time (40 hours per week). 1st shift:
Monday–Friday, 07:00 am – 3:30 pm, occasional weekend as needed. Salary range: $23.65–$35.50.
- Dispense and deliver medications accurately and timely using automated dispensing and storage devices; troubleshoot dispensing issues.
- Generate and evaluate reports; troubleshoot complex distribution needs, including inventory management and workflow improvements.
- Prepare non‑sterile and sterile products according to USP standards.
- Enter medication orders into the computer system and navigate the electronic medical record to facilitate patient care.
- Address customer and team member concerns, triage phone calls from nurses, physicians, or patients, and resolve issues or hand off appropriately.
- Develop and implement training programs and materials; train pharmacy technicians, students, interns, residents, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
- Serve as a resource person, role model, and source of expertise for technicians, new team members, nurses, physicians, and other health professionals.
- Participate in departmental initiatives, performance improvement activities, committees, and shared governance; embrace change and encourage others.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, accreditation standards (controlled substances, USP procedures, DNV requirements).

Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Student;
Certification (CPhT) issued by PTCB or ExCPT;
State of Wisconsin registration. Patient‑facing teammates may also need immunization, BLS, and non‑vaccine injectable certifications as required by state or ACPE.
High School Graduate.
ExperienceTypically requires 3 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy technician position.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Good mathematics skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Operate equipment necessary to perform the job.
- Frequent fine‑motor motion of hands and wrists.
- Lift, carry, or push/pull items up to 35 lb., using proper technique.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, twist, crawl, and reach above shoulders.
- Maintain functional speech, vision, touch, and hearing.
- May be exposed to chemical hazards, hazardous waste, blood, body fluids, and communicable disease; protective clothing and equipment required.
