Sr. Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift (Rome, GA)
The wage is based on experience and starts between $26.00 – $30.00/HR. Hours are 4:30 pm – 3:30 am, Monday through Thursday, with opportunities for overtime pay. This position handles daily maintenance activities aligned with maintenance and operational strategies to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities- Efficiently repair machinery with careful planning to improve efficiency and reliability after repairs.
- Proactively assess machinery to identify repair needs before breakdowns.
- Provide experienced guidance during troubleshooting.
- Evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs when deciding whether to repair or replace equipment.
- Collaborate with operations and warehouse areas to determine the best action.
- Regularly assess repair tools and equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform maintenance procedures to ensure machinery operates efficiently and minimizes failures.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and other employees; work with external vendors and contractors for maintenance and testing in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager.
- Train and coach less experienced personnel as part of team collaboration.
- Continuously review preventative maintenance processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide expert technical support.
- Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Team Lead.
- Operate forklifts and repair/upgrade material handling equipment (forklifts, aerial lifts).
- Safety compliance and clean, organized work areas; wear PPE as required.
- Read and interpret manuals and work orders for maintenance and service.
- Perform duties using hand/power tools, electric meters, and related equipment.
- Strong organizational, computer, and leadership skills; capable of leading key projects.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear; vision requirements (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus).
- Lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
- Attention to detail; good coaching and communication skills (listening, verbal, written).
- High school diploma required; 2 years of college preferred.
- 6+ years of maintenance experience.
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical skills including pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and fabrication for troubleshooting and repair of production machines and facility equipment.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication equipment.
- Willingness to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Willingness to submit to background check, employment verification, and drug screen.
- Overtime eligibility; shift premium; weekly pay; direct deposit.
- Site location: 113 Hemlock St., Rome, GA 30161.
- Gross wage: $26.00–$30.00/hour depending on experience.
- $1000 sign-on bonus after 120 days of full-time employment.
