Job SummaryThis position assists in the setup and management of science laboratories across campus sites.
Responsibilities- Prepare materials, solutions and equipment for labs
- Clean materials, equipment and models
- Assist in receiving and inventory of laboratory materials
- Monitor laboratory supplies and inventory; reorder as needed
- Set up new labs at satellite campuses as required
- Perform duties related to the mission of the school and department
- Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with high school completion or equivalent
- Experience with basic laboratory practices; typically one to two years in a similar role or apprenticeship
- Current student at Georgia Highlands College
- PELL grant eligible
- Maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment
- Use of computer and job‑related software programs
- Science laboratory safety procedures
- Analytical problem‑solving and solution implementation
- Oral and written communication skills
$12.00 per hour
