Georgia Highlands College is a multi‑campus state college in the University System of Georgia. Founded in 1970 as Floyd Junior College, it serves over 6,000 students across five locations. The college offers associate and bachelor’s degrees both in‑person and online.

Job Summary

This position assists customers, greets them on entry, helps locate products, operates the POS system, straightens and restocks inventory, and performs other duties as assigned. The role is located at the Cartersville campus and reports to the Auxiliary Campus Coordinator.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome customers into the store
  • Stay knowledgeable about the products in the store
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor
  • Restock inventory
  • Assist with inventory counts
  • Assist customers with sales and answer questions
  • Understand and assist customers with the point‑of‑sale system
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a program of study at Georgia Highlands College
  • Knowledge and competency comparable to a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Retail or other sales‑related experience preferred
  • Prior customer service experience preferred
Salary

$12.00 per hour; maximum 19 hours per week.
