RTW; Outwear and Kids Designer

Position: RTW (Outwear) and Kids Designer
Reporting to the RTW Head Designer , the ideal candidate has an eye for trend and the ability to create original saleable concepts that encompass style, color and fabric as directed. The candidate has also a good understanding of luxury products in terms of quality and fabrication. The candidate will manage the research, planning and design of the collections for all Outwear, Tailoring & Kids categories.
The position is based in Rome.
Job responsibilities   Collections design: create and develop original design concepts maintaining the Company identity;
Translate market research and consumer insights, along with Creative Direction inputs into compelling design concepts.
Renderings / illustrations drawings and preparation of files (PDF) for their presentation;
Passing designs to pattern shop for making canvases/prototypes;
Fittings prototypes or final garments and production tuning;
Contacts with external suppliers / faconists to follow up on garment making.

Profile  The successful candidate is passionate for design and fashion industry.
At least 5 years experience as a RTW Designer along the outwear categories in the Luxury industry;
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design;
Excellent freehand drawing / sketching skills;
Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop);
Deadline oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment;
Fluent in Italian and English;
Availability for travel.
