Within the framework of the project CCR "The phenomenon of environmental and climatic migrations and its impact on economic and social dynamics in the Euro-Mediterranean region", financed by the University of Macerata, the Department of Law of the University of Macerata issues this call for applications to foster the incoming mobility of one scholar from universities and research institutions abroad, in order to enhance the quality of and expand its teaching and research activities during the academic year 2026/2027.
In light of the above-mentioned project, the Department of Law of the University of Macerata expects the Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to the research and teaching activities of the Department and of CiRAM, and to foster cooperation between the University of Macerata and the university or research institution of origin.
Research and teaching activities will be focused on the following research theme: "Governing a Moving Planet:
Sea-Level Rise, Human Mobility and Trasformative Frameworks for Sustainability".

Requirements
Education:
PhD or equivalent in Juridical sciences – International law

Eligibility:
Candidates holding positions equivalent to Assistant Professor, Research Fellow, or other postdoctoral positions in Italian universities. Candidates receiving financial support in similar projects are not eligible.
Financial Arrangements
The Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow will be paid a gross amount of €3,000.00 for 30 days, inclusive of tax and social security contributions. The amount can be used to cover travel, board, accommodation, medical expenses, and visa or permit fees for non‑EU citizens.
The Department will provide a fully equipped room for study and research in the Department premises, with free access to libraries and laboratories. Payment will be issued in two installments: 50% at the beginning of the period after administrative procedures, and 50% at the end of the stay, upon submission of a final report.
Responsibilities
Participate in research group activities of the project CCR "The phenomenon of environmental and climatic migrations and its impact on economic and social dynamics in the Euro-Mediterranean region".
Contribute to teaching activities organized within the project framework, up to a maximum of 8 hours upon request by the PI of the CCR project.
Collaborate with the project team in preparation of a research proposal for European funding.
Prepare a final report of activities in English, to be approved by the Department Council.
