Type of teaching commitment:
The Associate Professor will be required to carry out teaching activities within the scientific‑disciplinary sector of Neurology, with an overall workload in compliance with current regulations and the University’s rules governing the teaching duties of professors and researchers. The lecturer will deliver lectures, supplementary teaching activities, student services (office hours, tutoring, academic advising) and administer exams and assessments in the following programmes:
Single-cycle Master’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (LM-41) – course in Diseases of the Nervous System
Single-cycle Master’s Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics (LM-46) – course in Neurology
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (L/SNT1) – course in Diseases of the Nervous System
Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (L/SNT2) – courses in Neurology and Behavioral Neurology
Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (L/SNT2) – course in Neurology
Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Sciences for Health Professions (LM/SNT2) – course in Neurology
Master’s Degree in Neuroscience (LM-6) – course in Neuropathology taught in English
Medical Specialization Schools – courses in Neurology
Type of research commitment:
The Associate Professor will carry out scientific research activities within the scientific‑disciplinary sector of Neurology, aligned with the research directions of the Neurology Clinic and the strategic objectives of the Department and the University. Responsibilities include clinical and translational research on multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating and autoimmune diseases of the central nervous system, focusing on clinical phenotyping, predictive factors for disease course and treatment response, and comparative evaluation of immunomodulatory and immunosuppressive therapies.
Additional duties involve studying neuroimmunological manifestations associated with systemic diseases, emerging viral infections, and innovative oncological therapies, covering para neoplastic neurological syndromes, post‑infectious neurological complications, and neurotoxicity from next‑generation immuno‑oncology treatments.
