Position Overview
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive our growth strategy in the Italian energy market, focusing on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), while actively contributing to project development and execution processes. This role requires an end‑to‑end ownership mindset, combining business development with hands‑on involvement in project structuring and implementation.
Responsibilities

Identify and develop new EPC and BESS business opportunities in Italy
Build and maintain strong relationships with local investors, developers, utilities, and industrial clients
Develop and manage a strong project pipeline, with a focus on PV + BESS hybrid projects
Monitor tenders, define bidding strategies, and lead proposal processes to award
Coordinate bid preparation with technical and commercial teams, engaging required service xlwpduy providers
Establish strong relationships with project developers, equipment suppliers, engineering firms, subcontractors, and other ecosystem stakeholders
Contribute to feasibility studies, cost analysis, and project structuring for EPC and BESS projects
Lead processes with solid knowledge of local regulations, permitting, and grid connection mechanisms
Support development and execution phases of awarded projects
Ensure coordination with local stakeholders (authorities, suppliers, subcontractors)
Contribute to projects being delivered on time and within budget
Support site and execution teams when required
Develop short-, mid-, and long‑term growth strategies for the Italian market
Contribute to the company’s overall European growth strategy
Track and adapt new energy storage business models (merchant, capacity market, ancillary services, etc.)
Collaborate with the Marketing team to increase the company’s visibility in Italy

Qualifications

Based in Italy and eligible to work in Italy
5–8+ years of experience in the energy sector (preferably EPC, renewable energy, and/or BESS)
Strong understanding of the Italian energy ecosystem, market structure, regulations, and permitting processes
Proven experience in business development, tendering, contracts, and preferably project management
Ability to manage technical and commercial aspects in parallel
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
Result‑oriented, entrepreneurial, and comfortable taking ownership
