The Test Engineering Support & Sustaining Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and continuous improvement of test systems used in production. The role combines hands‑on failure analysis and repair activities with long‑term sustaining actions aligned with engineering changes and production feedback.
Site:
Eletech – Osnago (LC). Elemaster Italy headquarters – Lomagna (LC). Department:
Test Engineering in the International Design Center for the development and maintenance of Test Equipment for manufacturing.
Responsibilities

Perform fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on test benches and test equipment.
Carry out corrective maintenance and repairs to restore normal operation.
Analyze production issues, non‑conformities, or deviations in test results and product characteristics.
Investigate anomalies observed on specific production batches and support root‑cause analysis in collaboration with Test Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
Update and maintain test benches in accordance with approved Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
Assess the technical, operational, and production impact of ECRs before implementation.
Implement hardware and software updates on test systems, ensuring traceability and compliance with internal procedures.
Monitor test system performance, stability, and reliability over time.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by collecting, analyzing, and formalizing feedback from production.

Requirements

Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical background.
At least 5 years of experience servicing and maintaining test equipment, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in an industrial or electronics environment.
Proven knowledge of test systems, electronic assemblies and production processes.
Solid ability to read and understand technical documentation, schematics, test software sequences and change requests.
Structured and methodical approach to problem solving.
Good communication skills and ability to interact with cross‑functional teams.
Good English knowledge.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
Availability for business trips.

Knowledge of LabVIEW and Python for debug and analysis.
