Research activities involve the development of advanced computational models and techniques for the study of complex and multiscale structural systems featuring non-linear interfaces in multidisciplinary contexts. Topics will include:

Multicellular biological systems with cell-substrate interfaces;

Development of Virtual Element techniques for heterogeneous materials involving hyperelastic or inelastic materials;

Innovative data compression techniques for problems of interest in civil engineering.
