Lead Development Professional - Roma

Experteer Overview Lead Development Professional to drive wind farm projects through development, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external partners. You’ll oversee environmental, technical, and regulatory studies, manage budgets and timelines, and steer permitting processes. You will engage with public authorities and stakeholders, ensuring compliance and enabling progress from origination to ready-to-build status. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, environment, and policy within Vestas Development Europe Region, offering meaningful impact in accelerating renewable energy deployment.

Retribuzione / Benefits Coordinate development activities across technical, environmental, and regulatory work streams

Review EIA reports, feasibility studies, and environmental due diligence for wind projects

Manage contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders; track budgets and timelines

Prepare and submit applications to authorities (EIA procedures, Single Authorization, PAUR)
Engage with public authorities and support stakeholder campaigns and public consultations

Conduct site visits with experts across development stages

Collaborate with engineering, environmental, and financial teams to drive project completion

ResponsabilitàDegree in a scientific or technical discipline (Energy/Environmental Engineering or related)
Around 4 years of experience in renewable project development (wind/solar/energy)
Experience in project management and coordination with external partners

Budget management and timeline monitoring experience

Working knowledge of GIS (1–2 years)
Fluency in Italian and good English (internal communication)
Willingness to travel ~30% for site visits

Comfort with external stakeholder engagement and permitting processes
