Nuclear Project Engineer – Life Sciences
Location
Rome, Italy
Responsibilities
Support the design of complex high‑risk systems in pharmaceutical / nuclear industrial facilities.
Perform risk analysis and fault‑mode identification (FMEA/DFMEA).
Define and evaluate technical solutions to ensure safety, reliability and operational continuity.
Assist in the design of ventilation and containment systems.
Verify interfaces between systems (e.g., main plant and HVAC).
Define and review redundancy strategies and failure‑management processes.
Contribute to validation, testing and verification activities of design solutions.
Support the definition of maintenance plans (ordinary and extraordinary) and component replaceability.
Collaborate in preparing technical documentation (risk analysis, operating manuals, technical specifications).
Interface with multidisciplinary teams and clients for technical alignment.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering (preferably Biomedical or related).
Experience in complex or regulated industrial environments (GMP, radiopharmacy, pharma, automation, nuclear, etc.).
Knowledge of risk‑analysis methodologies (FMEA, DFMEA, FTA or equivalents).
Familiarity with plant safety and system reliability concepts.
Experience or knowledge of HVAC and/or industrial ventilation systems in GMP contexts.
Ability to analyze complex systems and interfaces between subsystems.
Basic understanding of redundancy and fault‑management logic.
Experience in drafting technical documentation.
Strong problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
Good proficiency in English.
Remuneration
Annual gross salary between 42,000 EUR and 46,000 EUR.
Employment terms
Position is governed by the CCNL for Commerce and Services as applied by ALTEN.
