Let’s work together towards a successful energy transition. We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Senior Environmental Specialist (m/f/d) at our office in Rome to support our operations in Italy.
Your responsibilities:
Perform environmental analyses for Wind and solar PV projects, including agrivoltaics, as well as associated electrical infrastructure during pre-feasiblity or advanced development stage
Preparation, Supervision and reviewing of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports, feasibility studies, landscape report, appropriate assessment, acoustic studies and all the related technical documentation needed in the framework of EIA procedures, either Regional and/or National
Carry out environmental Due Diligences for potential project acquisition evaluation
Work closely with technical departments (i.e. development, electrical, civil engineering) and managing subcontractors to ensure environmental requirements for the projects are met
Conduct site visits to identify potential environmental issues that need to be addressed and mitigated during the development phase
Review scopes of work and monitoring activities to be carried out by third-party consultants
Support the management of permitting procedures for projects under development and actively monitor regulatory developments that may affect environmental aspects
Participate in stakeholder engagement campaigns, public hearings, and meetings with authorities
Your profile:
MSc or equivalent Degree in an environmental discipline (e.g. Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Geology, etc.)
At least five years professional experience and track record in the environmental impact approval process for onshore wind farms and PV plants
Experience in acoustics impact assessment and acoustic monitoring would be a plus
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, QGIS, Arc Gis
Languages:
Italian and English (C1)
Willingness to travel
