UNIVERSITA' DEGLI STUDI DI CATANIA is conducting research on floating photovoltaic (FPV) systems and their impact on the temperature of partially covered water reservoirs. The activity includes geometric modeling of the reservoir, CFD simulations, and analysis of boundary conditions to guide sustainable FPV design.
The project aims to quantify temperature variations, assess shading effects on the thermal regime, and deliver actionable guidelines based on comprehensive simulations and sensitivity
