Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Visual Basic Operate Lead – Application Support & Maintenance to lead the delivery of application support and maintenance services for a major enterprise client in Milan.
This role is ideal for a senior technical professional with strong leadership capabilities, extensive experience in VB6, .NET, and SQL Server, and a proven track record in managing enterprise application support teams. You will be responsible for ensuring high service quality, maintaining application stability, driving continuous improvements, and acting as the key technical point of contact for stakeholders.
This position requires working onsite in Milan and close collaboration with business users, Country IT teams, vendors, and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of application support and maintenance services in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW).Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of business-critical applications.
Plan, prioritize, and allocate work across the support team based on business priorities and technical expertise.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members.
Monitor team performance and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application issues.
Drive proactive problem management initiatives to reduce recurring incidents.
Coordinate with external vendors for application defects, upgrades, and enhancement activities.
Ensure vendor deliverables meet agreed quality standards and timelines.
Monitor SLA and KPI performance and implement corrective actions where required.
Prepare and present regular service reports to internal and client stakeholders.
Communicate incident status, outages, and service updates to business users and IT teams.
Support Major Incident Management by providing technical expertise and business communications.
Identify opportunities for continuous service improvement and implement operational enhancements.
Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.

Application Support & Maintenance Production Support Required Experience Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
Strong experience leading technical support or application maintenance teams.
Experience supporting enterprise business applications in production environments.
Hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Experience working in customer-facing environments.
Preferred Skills Project Management Team Leadership Vendor ManagementITIL Foundation or equivalent
