Job Description
The Quality Manager is responsible for the operational implementation and continuous improvement of Rome Business School's academic quality-assurance system.

The role ensures that academic quality is systematically measured, documented, reviewed and improved across programmes and delivery formats and that the School maintains the evidence and processes required for accreditation and university-partnership purposes.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance System

Implement the School's academic quality policies, procedures and quality calendar.

Maintain and continuously improve quality-assurance processes and documentation.

Ensure consistency in the application of academic standards across programmes.

Maintain clear institutional records and quality evidence.

Programme Quality Review

Coordinate periodic programme quality reviews.

Support the Programme Improvement Process and ensure that agreed improvement actions are recorded and followed through.

Monitor programme performance against agreed academic quality indicators.

Identify recurring quality issues and escalated significant risks.

Teaching and Learning Quality

Coordinate teaching-observation processes.

Support syllabus and curriculum audits.

Monitor compliance with institutional standards relating to learning outcomes, assessment, academic depth and teaching methodology.

Analyse recurring teaching-quality issues and support the development of improvement actions.

Data and Evidence

Collect, consolidate and analyse academic quality data.

Integrate evidence from student surveys, programme performance, teaching observations and other academic-quality sources.

Produce periodic quality reports and dashboards.

Ensure that quality decisions are supported by appropriate evidence.

Policies and Academic Framework

Support the drafting, implementation and updating of academic policies and procedures.

Maintain appropriate document-control and version-management systems.

Ensure that academic teams have access to current policies, standards and guidelines.

Accreditation Support

Support accreditation and university-review processes.

Coordinate evidence gathering and documentation.

Maintain accreditation repositories and institutional evidence files.

Track accreditation recommendations and related improvement actions.

Continuous Improvement

Maintain an institutional action tracker for academic quality.

Follow up with responsible managers regarding corrective and improvement actions.

Promote the systematic translation of quality findings into operational improvements.

Support the development of institutional memory by ensuring that academic processes and decisions are appropriately codified.

Requirements

Essential

Master's degree or equivalent; a doctoral qualification would be an advantage.

Experience in higher education, academic quality assurance, accreditation or academic programme management.

Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Strong project-management and organisational capabilities.

Ability to work across multiple departments and stakeholders.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Desirable

Experience with European or international quality-assurance frameworks.

Experience supporting accreditation processes.

Experience with programme reviews, teaching observations or curriculum audits.

Knowledge of Business School environments.

Key Measures of Success

Timely completion of the annual quality cycle.

Completion and closure rate of quality improvement actions.

Quality and completeness of accreditation evidence.

Compliance with academic policies and quality standards.

Improvement in programme and teaching-quality indicators.

Reliability and accessibility of institutional quality documentation.
