Position: R&D PROJECT MANAGER

COMPANY
Currently, the Sclavo Vaccines Association E.T.S. is coordinating several projects including the new EU-funded project: "European Vaccines Hub for Pandemic Readiness", a large-scale international initiative aimed at strengthening Europe’s vaccine preparedness and response capacity. The project seeks to establish a European Vaccine Hub by aligning nationally funded vaccine R&D efforts into a coordinated network for end-to-end vaccine development and delivery.

ROLE

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate closely with the Scientific Coordinator and the Sclavo team in organizing and implementing the scientific, technical, and administrative activities related to the management of EU-funded research programs;

Operational role in project monitoring and reporting activities;

Operational focal point for Coordinator’s project activities, such as running the programme ethical and scientific experts’ committee;

Operational focal point for interactions with other beneficiaries and partners;

Operational focal point for consultancies to be contracted for specific programme tasks.

REQUIREMENTS
Ph.D. in Life Sciences, preferably with a focus on infectious diseases, vaccines, or pharmaceuticals;

At least 2 years’ experience in R&D project management and managing EU-funded projects;

Specific experience in R&D related to vaccines or monoclonal antibodies;

Familiarity with pharmaceutical R&D planning tools and software;

Second-level degree (Master) in the life science field;

Working knowledge of the basics of EU projects;

Attitude to work in teams;

Advanced working knowledge of the Italian and English languages, both written and spoken;

Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of working independently.

ECONOMICAL TREATMENT

Full-time Hybrid position;

One-year fixed-term contract (Tempo determinato), renewable;

Contract:

CCNL Industria chimica, chimico-farmaceutica;

CCNL salary and level corresponding to the experience.

LOCATION
Siena, Italy. Hybrid position.
