The astroparticle physics group at the Department of Physics at Tsinghua University (https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) invites applications for postdoctoral research fellows.
The group, led by Prof. Fei Gao (https://), has 2 positions opening for neutrino and dark matter physics with the XENONnT experiment. Successful applicants are expected to participate in the XENONnT experiment at Gran Sasso and play a leading role in analysis. A candidate with a strong hardware background may spend 3-6 months per year at Gran Sasso.
The initial appointment is for 2 years, with flexible start dates and the option to renew for a third year. Applicants are encouraged to apply for the "Shuimu Tsinghua" fellowship () at Tsinghua University.

We provide an internationally competitive salary for our postdocs. A reasonable estimate for this position is RMB;
Housing:
Tsinghua provides on-campus transitional housing for all postdoctoral fellows, with monthly rental mostly covered;
Start date:
As early as Spring 2026;
Location:
Beijing and Gran Sasso;
Research funds:
Postdoctoral fellows will be supported in applying for external research funding.
Qualifications for the position:
PhD in experimental high-energy physics, experimental nuclear physics, or related field;
No more than three years of post-degree research experience by start date;
Strong programming skills (e.g., Python) for scientific computing and simulation;
Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
1) DAQ, Large-scale data management and processing,
2) operation of cryogenic liquid,
3) Data analysis in a collaboration,
4) Statistical inference with a profiled likelihood approach.
