Offer Description The post is for a six-year period. The annual gross salary is about 50.000 Euros. The area of research and teaching is Pharmacology.
Required research duties:
The researcher will be responsible for the conception, design, implementation, and coordination of national and international research projects aimed at evaluating prescribing appropriateness and the benefit–risk profile of medicines in the post-marketing setting. To this end, the researcher will specifically conduct pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology studies through the analysis of administrative databases, general practice and community pediatric care databases, and spontaneous reporting systems of adverse drug reactions, as well as through systematic reviews of the scientific literature.
The scientific activity will be based on a strong component of collaboration with other research entities within Centers, Departments, and the University, and will also have a national and international scope.
Required teaching duties:
The delivery of teaching activities for the single-cycle Degree Programme in Medicine and Surgery, for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programmes, as well as for Advanced Training Courses, Master’s programmes, and Schools of Specialization in the fields of clinical pharmacology and toxicology, pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology, and, more generally, topics related to the scientific disciplinary sector BIOS-11/A and the relevant area of scientific expertise.
Clinical effort required: the activities carried out include the promotion of pharmacovigilance, support for the management of clinical trials and the development of innovative programs in the field of clinical pharmacology and pharmacoepidemiology at ASUIT;
Qualifications required for carrying out the assistance activity:
Medical or Non-Medical Specialization in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology or equipollent;
Foreign language required: excellent level of English;
Knowledge of Italian: level adequate to carry out the assigned teaching and research load (the researcher is required to teach in Italian);
Maximum number of publications to be presented: 12;
