Position: Lead Deep Learning Scientist (On-site)
Experteer Overview  As a Research Team Lead for DVPS, you will guide a research-focused team within Translated’s AI Research group, driving multimodal foundation models and open science initiatives. You collaborate with product and engineering to advance core research that powers next-generation products. You will design experiments, oversee large-scale GPU/HPC work, and mentor junior researchers, while coordinating with partners on the research roadmap.

This role offers impact through open-source releases and cross-disciplinary exploration across Earth observation, language, and cardiology.
Responsibilities   Design deep learning multimodal architectures and experiments
Implement and run experiments on large GPU/HPC infrastructure
Benchmark state-of-the-art models and monitor progress
Mentor and guide junior researchers and interns
Coordinate with partners on research roadmap and timelines
Organize publications and open-source releases (e.g., Hugging Face)
Adapt project pace to rapid scientific developments
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to power new products
Qualifications   3 years of directly relevant industry or academic research experience
Experience coordinating a team of researchers and defining roadmaps
Excellent programming skills:
Py Torch
Familiarity with Docker and Unix OS, including GPU experiments
Interest in carrying out experimental research
Relevant scientific publications, teaching and research experience
Excellent command of English
